Aaah ok, thanks…had no idea. None of the websites describing Anri’s quest line that I visited mentioned any of that. She’d appeared at every stop along the way like the walkthroughs described, so just seemed weird she wouldn’t show up (in summon form) before the Aldrich fight.

Maybe you messed up there. You must complete the whole Horace thing before killing wolnir: Speak to Anri near the Wolnir boss room, take a detour to Smouldering Lake, Kill Horace, Speak to Anri again, Kill Wolnir. Yeah, I know that. Like I said in my original post I've completed her questline before and it worked just fine.

Anri moves to the church after you tell her of Smouldering Lake. If Horace is alive when you do this, he'll kill her. If Horace is dead when you do this, she won't find him and continue on to the Church alone. Just go back to the area before Wolnir bonfire, and check to see if she's at the location near the bridge.
