As someone who is having some connectivity issues, it's actually on synology (linux). What i suspect, the ip/domain name/ location of the server gets lost if you turn off or stop port forwarding. I suspect the dns/server ip doesn't get refreshed nearly as much and causes clients to be unusable for a day while it figures everything out.If you are CGNAT, you can ask them too, you will need to have them give you a dedicated IP address and still get that port forwarded.
