So I decided to go to Medved-Taiga since Layton Lakes is so screwy now. Haven't noticed any weirdness with the sounds just yet or have any problems with outposts becoming unlocked just yet. The cursor/waypoint/item relationship is wonky just as at Layton Lakes. But the big thing is what happens with animals when you shoot them. I'll just touch on the last two I shot for sake of brevity...
